China has bolstered Ukraine's fight against flu epidemics. Anti-flu materials from China arrived in Ukraine on Sunday. It is the second batch of humanitarian aid China has sent to the eastern European country.
About 1.6 million people are estimated to have been infected in Ukraine since the end of October. China has sent anti-flu aid worth of half a million US dollars. The first batch of the aid arrived in Ukraine last Thursday.
Lyudmyla Mulharska, 1st Deputy Chief State Sanitary Doctor, said, "We have received humanitarian aid from many countries including China. These materials will be delivered to areas hard hit by the flu. We welcome and appreciate the arrival of the aid. We will put them into use as soon as possible."
